Knock knock...

I made this door sign for my eldest daughter and her partner who have just moved into their first home. She didn't give me any idea as to colour scheme so I went BRIGHT! I figure the postie can't miss them that way.

Darcy's stamps worked beautifully, combined with Fresco paints. So if you're anywhere in or near Brighton, keep your eyes peeled!

It's Christmas time...

For my last post this year over on the That's Crafty! blog, I've gone really Christmassy:

I've used lots of Christmas greyboard bits and pieces to make a scene.

Fabric panels...

Crafty Individuals have just brought out some lovely new fabric panels using enlarged versions of some of their stamps.
I've used the peacock to make a cushion:

and the balloon to make a wall hanging.

They paint beautifully.

A little bit late...

I don't know how I managed it but I've completely missed my Matchbox Art post on the PA Blog - I was convinced it was tomorrow!
Anyway, here's a sneaky peek:

I love those fish - they look full of mischief!

ATCoins....

Now, if you didn't manage to catch the That's Crafty! shows over on Hochanda, I thought you might like to see some of the stuff I made in full. It was a show all about ATCoins and there were some new stamps, display units as well as stencils.
I made this container myself out of a parcel tape spool, covering it with some 13Arts paper (lovely stuff) and some foiled stencilling:

I then joined some of my ATCoins together to make a little book. The background was stencilled and stamped onto a piece of A4 which then punches out to make 12 coins.

Cards in the round...

Here are some cards I made with the ATCoin as the focal piece.
This first one uses some of the new Wycinanka chipboard that was on the Hochanda show. They've got some great designs.

Here I've made it into a Christmas decoration - just the right size. The pattern is one of the new dinky round stencils that fit the coins perfectly:

And then I just got carried away with the new stamps! Love going round and round in circles!

and here I've used it on a card:

Stamping platforms...

...is the theme over on the PaperArtsy blog at the mo.
I planned to use just Infusions with my post but it then developed into a sort of mixed media project - that's the beauty of a stamping platform - you can just keep on adding!

Spooky cemetery...

...this canvas showcases the second new Crafty Individuals stamp, this wonderful raven perched on a tombstone:

I'm rather fond of a bit of spookiness. The stencil is an 8x8 one from That's Crafty!, Big Floral.

A little bit spooky...

Crafty Individuals have brought out a couple of gorgeous new stamps just in time for Hallowe'en:

The embossed stencil in the background is one of PaperArtsy's - a new one by Tracy Scott, ETS110.

Dream tag...

This is a That's Crafty! large tag with some of their 8x8 stencils, Autumn sprays and paints. I've fallen in love with their Pearl paint which I've tinted here with a little Blueberry spray.

I've also used some walnut crystals at the bottom.

Junk Journal...

Here's a little junk journal I made with some Crafty Individuals stamps. I die cut the covers to look like a ticket:

and then used some of their new A4 papers to decorate inside:

Here I've used CI-427 and CI-428 as well as making a stamp from one of their new collage stamps:

In the round...

I went a bit mad with this project and made a 3D village with Melina's stamps:

This sort of project is just up my street! Bright colours, lots of fiddly bits, working out how to get it all put together - lots of fun.
I discovered several things - the multi surface paints go on beautifully without obliterating the stamped lines; you can stamp the houses close enough on the back to make a double sided image; you can make a 3D house out of part of the large house; the flowers also make very useful back to back shrubs.

Row upon row...

What I love about these houses is how easy it is to stamp long rows and also build them up one behind the other as I've done here:

I've die cut and raised the centre, folding the houses to go round a corner:

The background is done with some of the new Dinky stencils and coloured texture paste. The wording uses Tim Holtz rub ons.
