Softly, softly....

Here I've used softer colours from the oil pastel set in the middle of the card and then sprayed round the edge with Dylusions inks. The oil pastels act as a resist, so the spray ink only seeps into any tiny gaps left. You get an almost weathered paint effect:

The circus collage is built up with the Oxford Impression Circus stamps.
I'm going to be demoing all this and more at the Craft Barn Extravaganza this Saturday and Sunday, so come along and say hi!

Thanks for looking!

Tando Creative Circus Stage

Here's another sample I've made for the Craft Barn Extravaganza which of course is this weekend!

This one uses a Tando theatre stage, Oxford Impressions stamps and oil pastels:

I loved the curtain stamps, which I've adapted slightly to fit the stage.

Roll up! Roll up!

It's nearly time for the Craft Barn Extravaganza, so I thought I'd post some pics this week of what I'm demoing.
I'm working with the Oxford Impressions circus stamps (2 different sets), Faber-Castell oil pastels and Dylusions inks, along with stencils and some other stuff.
Here are some tags I've made:

Both the oil pastels and spray inks give lovely, bright colours!

Do come along if you can - there's loads of demos going on - something for everyone! And, it's all free!

Show and Tell....

I had the Show and Tell class at the Craft Barn on Saturday with a lovely group of ladies. We had a good time - by 4o'clock we were all worn out! What I loved was that everyone put their own take on the projects, using colours they liked, adding different bits of stamping etc.
Here are some photos of everyone hard at work and then pics of some of the projects in various stages of completion:

We used Lynne Perrella stamps and Distress Stains.

My next class is the Pebeo Fantasie Prisme Playday on Saturday 21 July, in which you'll make two 4x4 Artboards, a jewellery square wallhanging and 2 pendants. If I'd taken some photos I could have shown you, but of course I forgot!

Oh, and then in two weeks time of course it's the Extravaganza - definitely worth attending.

School's out for Summer.....

Here's my second piece of work for the Crafty Individuals Blog Challenge, again interpreting the theme of 'A Summer's Ball...' quite loosely!

The sprayed background was already in my scrap drawer, I added the old book paper and then computer printed the text. Let's hope the weather's that good when the hols finally arrive!

Big Top Surprise

At the moment I'm very busy working on stuff for the Craft Barn Extravaganza which is only 3 weeks away!
It's going to be a great weekend (Sat 30 June/ Sunday 1 July, plus workshops etc. on the Friday and Monday) with 28 demonstrators showing all sorts of different things.
I'm going to be using Oxford Impression Big Top Circus and Vintage Circus stamps with oil pastels and Dylusions spray ink some of the time and I've made a Big Top as part of my artwork. Here's a view of the outside and inside to get you in the mood:

Thanks for looking and hope you can come along!

A Summer's Ball

That's the title of the June Crafty Individuals' Challenge.
I wasn't sure what to do, as I'd just used the lady dancing stamp, so I decided on a bit of poetic licence and did 'The Butterfly Ball'. I'm sure that'd be in the summertime anyway!
Here's my offering:

It uses several sets of stamps (too many to mention).
Hop on over to see what the rest of the DT have made - some really good ideas.
